Hi folks, missed me?

As you can see, I’m still alive, and I got good news. The site will be moving to its very own dedicated server! As a result, site speed will improve dramatically, regular updates will resume and high resolution image downloads will be made available again.

I’m currently in the process of setting up the new box, which is nearly done. After that it’s just a matter of setting up the site itself. I’m still deciding wether I will redesign the site or not, there are some general improvements I’d like to make, but I’m pretty happy with the way it is now, I’ll see!

The url and name will remain the same, no changes there. I’m expecting the new site to be up and running somewhere in the next week. There might be some downtime during the actual transition, but it should be minimal.

Well, this is assuming I don’t mess anything up, which I’m extremely good at.

As you may or may not have noticed, my account got suspended yet again. I’ve lost count. Due to “high server loads” I’m facing account termination, that’s why I’ve disabled the full resolution image downloads until further notice.

If you’re wondering where the site is hosted, that would be servage.net, over-sellers par excellence. Lots of promises, but they can’t deliver any. Fast support, but not helpful at all. I literally had to beg to get a half decent response out of them, and if they do decide to reply with something other than premade responses, they decide to copy/paste stuff from other websites that don’t even have to do anything with the question at hand. In one of the responses they told me to upgrade the hardware of the server, THEIR server, I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Anyways, I’m looking for a new host. I can’t tell you when the site will be back to normal, but it’ll probably take a while. The site won’t be updated until it has moved.

You may or may not have noticed, youtube decided to disable my account, which means all my videos are pretty much a goner. My videos got flagged for “innapropriate” content and taken down, and shortly after that a copyright claim. Which is funny because at least 70% of youtube is violating copyright laws.

Ah well, onwards to bigger and better ventures. I’ve decided to setup a channel over at stage6.com. They offer streaming divx video and the quality is far better than most streaming sites out there. And to top it of, they endorse hot videos. The only thing you’re required to do is install a small divx streaming plugin for your browser, which is an automated install. You’re only a few clicks away from superior quality.

The url to my profile will be announced in time, so keep an eye out.

My gallery went berserk again causing a high serverload, as a result the server administrators suspended my account for 12 hours. I’ve made some more changes to the gallery to optimize the performance, lets hope it lasts, cause i’m running out of ideas here.

I have started a new poll concerning the front page, whether to keep it NSFW (Not Safe For Work) or SFW (Safe For Work). Up until now some posts have contained topless nudity, unlike the gallery where you have a choice in viewing nude material or not, as they are tagged with contains nudity. The gallery is set up in such a way that you will only get nudity on your screen if you go looking for it. (I also block out explicit visual advertising)

Since this site is primarily about j-idols (adding AV-idols was an afterthought) , maybe the people who visit this site primarily for j-idols would like a more cleaner front and thus making it more accessible for public places. (hence SFW)

Last week I somehow managed to catch a virus in the form of stomach flu, between puking my guts out and pulling world record sprints to the bathroom, I didn’t really find the time to update the site. While I was on my way recovering from that, my computer decided to catch a nasty virus too, which in turn started wreaking havoc on windows. I somehow managed to get it working again by blasting that fucker to oblivion with about a dozen virusscanners. The damage has been done though, it’s working just enough to allow me to write this blog entry. My windows explorer is totally fubar, I can’t access it at all, and it crashes about every 5 minutes. A format is scheduled, boy do I love those.

Oh yea, if that wasn’t enough; I checked on my site yesterday only to find out that my hosting account has been suspended. Apparently it was causing a high load on the server, so the folks at servage decided to suspend my account for 6 hours. I have made some changes to the gallery and made some optimizations, so this won’t happen again. (hopefully)

I also enabled anti-hotlinking to help battle server loads. This will also lower my bandwidth usage. So all you hotlinking fiends out there, you’re out of luck. (hi ngemu, gtaforums, yes, i’m watching you)  :p

Anyhoo, enough bitching. Updates will resume again starting tomorrow. I got some stuff lined up, If you want to know exactly what, you’ll have to come find out yourself. But I do have a slight suspicion it’ll involve nekkid boobies.

Took me a while, but I did it! I had to rebuild the entire site again, categorizing 10.000 images ain’t no fun i’ll tell you that. I’ll probably do a few more tweaks here and there, actually, i’m constantly working on it. The precious j-idols are all accounted for and ready to be ogled at. The foundation has been set to make j-idols.org even bigger and better than before!

Videos are still missing, I have yet to figure out how I will handle those. Apparently it’s hard to find a video gallery plugin that supports wordpress. There is one, but costs $45, so unless you guys donate, or I start crapping gold nuggets, this ain’t going to happen. BUT, i’m always on the lookout. If you happen to know what i’m looking for, drop me a line! I have added links to my profiles on youtube and dailymotion, where you can check out my videos.

So, regular programming will resume, I will keep posting fresh picture sets, you drool at them, lubricant sales go up by 20% worldwide, and we’re all dandy.

Expect a lot in the few coming days, i’m behind thanks to the downtime.
